Good news, your trees have been planted in northern Ghana, specifically in the Yameriga section of the Tongo Hills! Thanks to your support, a total of 10,000 trees have been planted on 30 acres of community land to improve livelihoods, stabilize the local climate, filter water, and control erosion. Together with Ghana's Environmental Protection Agency and 330 local volunteers , we planted 6 tree species, including economically important teak, rosewood, and mahogany. These trees will support the local community and decrease the incidence of resource-based deforestation activities. They will also reduce wildfires in the area, promote biodiversity, create corridors for wildlife, and decrease human-wildlife conflict. Best of all, this project will create positive impact for 250 farming familie s — and men, women, and youth were given equal opportunity to participate in the planting. How about this: If a community cupboard is too expensive or high maintenance, to have a recycle/goods bin beside the dirty big bins on the roadsides and streets, to help those who come to pick items or plastics, to have an easier access to the goods they seek. This all goes to make life easy for everyone, promotes a green and cleaner community. This is a suggestion. This is an appeal.
